Quick question, how do you feed the mandarin? And I under the impression that pipefish had to be kept in a separate species tank like seahorses, with low flow and plenty of time to eat, am I wrong?

Pipefish are nothing like seahorses and come from the reef crests. Swimming pipefish have rudder tails and are great swimmers when they need to be, and 'slithering' pipes like dragonface crawl around and are unaffected by flow.
