How many fish for a 85 litre tank

Hi everyone I just set up an 85 litre recently and I have added my first addition a jewel pygmy basslet. I was wondering now how many more fish I could put into the tank I have a list of the main fish I would like to put in and I was wondering if I could fit them all In the tank

1 fireball angelfish
1 jawfish
1 Pygmy hawk
1 mystery wrasse or possum wrasse
1 candy cane hogfish

i would replan your stocking list i believe most of them are too big for a 22 gallon aquarium

angel 55 gallon
jawfish 30 gallon
hawk will fit
mystery wrasse 75-90 gallon
candy cane hogfish 50-75 gallon

better stocking list :
fire fish
your current basslet
pink streak wrasse
pygmy hawk

and that's probs you maxed out in a 22 gallon tank

Ok that’s fine the only thing with that stocking list is that there are too many fish that just hide and stick close to the rocks are there any other fish that are more active that can fit?

I would say 3 fish would be a full tank, maybe 4 fish if very carefully selected. I think you have too many fish, and 3 of those fish need much larger tanks than a 22 gallon. The jawfish also does better in deeper sandbeds. I would suggest to research the fish a little more carefully to make sure they are suited for your tank size and aquascape. Good luck

I have researched all of the fish I have seen that some people have kept them in tanks like this even smaller also I can easily put them in my larger tank if I have to

that's the reason they are nano fish is because they hide and stick close to the rock if you want swimming fish upgrade lol

I do have a big tank a 180 i was looking at growing out a tank bred or a small tuskfish as sometimes ships can get them in as less than an inch

Are there any other semi active fish for my tank apart from the wrasse?

if you are willing to move them to ur 180 once they outgrow ur 22 gallons which wont be long go for it im sure you could keep 1 of them teeny tiny blue tangs in a 22 gallons for a while just be prepared to move them to ur 180

i don't get why you care about having fish that swim in the 22 gallon tho when you have the 180 just watch swim in that 1 get an achilles tang watch it swim all day

The reason why I care so much is that the tank I have down there is going through fallow also the types of fish you have mentioned are just ich magnets and those fish will not cross my mind ever the only one that has is a blue tang which I may consider so thanks for that idea I was going to ask that but I didn’t want everyone to yell at me about how that is irresponsible even as a baby. One of my shops does if I remember have like a 50p sized sohal tang but i think i will still stick with the blue tang

I've not kept this fish, but a minute of research suggests that this may be a one-fish tank. Looking into compatibility considerations would be at least as useful as knowing how tiny a tank someone has shoehorned one into.

I do know how aggressive they can be basslets are always seen as aggressive you do realise that I have another tank I can easily remove the basslet or the other fish and put them in the bigger tank

Manonichthys splendens is a dottyback, not a basslet. (The pygmy hawk isn't a hawk, either, FYI.)

The more general point about compatibility still holds if the fish goes into some other tank, anyway. Is this the tank you're referring to?

The tank I am gonna put the fish in no I have a nano tank too that has the dottyback in. I got the tank up and running properly now cause waiting would be slightly boring

I think I will add a baby blue tang soon and see how that gets on and add a Pygmy hawk and then finally add that wrasse I was recommended
