My controller has saved my tanks about 4 times two times just from the heater going bad another from the heat and shutting my lights off the last from ph and alk swings letting me know something was wrong by constantly showing me the ph numbers going up or too low..wish i could get the salinity probe for monitoring but seems Reefkeeper has put that on hold any idea why is it because the cost of metals?
What controller has saved your tank and how?

I have an Apex and the way it has saved my tank is allowing me to auto dose 2 part as I work long and crazy hours which would lead me to poor husbandry

I don't have a problem with heat as I use t 5s and leds. you must still be using metal halides
