How many XR15s for a 180 tank?

Wouldn’t it depend on stick placement? For example. All down the center with lights directly above wouldn’t put enough PAR where only needed?

For my tank? Yes

For the OP? 4 will work unless they have bracing that messes with placement.

I’m patiently waiting to see your par meter read 200-250 in the sand with just XR-15’s on…

OH MY BAD! You said 2-250 so that might be correct.. 50ish to 100 lol…

I have to say I’m sorry. I couldn’t actually hit the 200 number without the Blade. My bad. Pic of my settings, where the sensor was, and the PAR reading. I use the SQ-420. You decide whether you want to use the 1.05 correction factor since it’s doesn’t read blue as well as the 520. Blade was off for this reading.

Unorthodox Reef runs 10 xr15s over a 96x36x27.5. Seem to be working out well for him. You can easily do 5-6 over your size tank depending on sps placement
