How noisy is the G5 Radion XR30 Blue version ?

Just got my 3 XR 30s yesterday. At 80% this fan noisy is louder than my gaming PC mining Ethereum.

This is a joke.

My Reef Breeders were nearly silent. Should have stuck with the high quality "chinese junk".

Have a new XR15 Pro and the fan noise, when running anywhere from 50-100%, is VERY noticeable. A loud whisper. The fans are on approximately 20% of the day as well...

Yes - about 1/4 of the time they are ON <50%. Above 50%, they are on about 1/2 the time. And very detectable in the living room.

I just sent back an AI HD Prime 16 (If I remember right, Ecotech purchased Aquaillumination) same problem, 36W out of 55W and I was able to hear the fan from the other side of the living room, at full power usage it was like a hoover, CRAZY, it really seems like we got the cheap plastic trash in Europe... a shame really. Thanks, @Timo‘s Riff for the idea. I'm checking that light out now. Looks good.

I sent back the XR-15 G5 Pro and replaced with a used XR-30 G4 and the noise is so much better. The G4's are way quieter.
