How often do you can your carbon?

I just started using a bulkreefsupply reactor and I was wondering how often people change the carbon in the same type of reators.
I remember a few years ago someone told me that the carbon needs to be changed week to week or sooner.

depands on the type used , some are monthly and some are every 6 months. the only ones that a 6 month are chemi pure and a couple others. for the most its monthly.

Since I bought the reactor there, I also bought a 3lb. bucket of the Lignite large carbon.
But I was thinking about picking up some of the rox 0.8.
Any thoughts?

I don't run carbon all the time but when I do it gets changed biweekly.

I run my 24/7 and change it out once a month. I also run rowaphos and change that out once a month too.

I like the rox 8 it tumbles nicely and doesnt clog up I change carbon and gfo monthly
