Here's a before and after photo of my filter sock after 3-4 days in the sump. How quickly are you guys seeing your socks clog up and need changing? With so much "stuff" being caught in the sock, I'm wondering if this might contribute to possibly starving my acros. My colors aren't as good as I would like them. Is the microscopic stuff getting through?

Try using different microns of filter socks and I don't think your skimmer is strong enough because once I added my skimmer my filter sock doesn't have to be changed for a good week and a half.

I have a 180 with two overflows. So, I use two filter socks. I change them both every Saturday during my water change.
