No, the 'UV' in these lights are not actually the 'UV' that can cause the damage you are probably thinking about - it's not really too different from any of the other spectrums of light in these lights.

I mean if it's the same 'UV' in UV filters and so on, well all our live stock would have been very mutated by now, not to mention each time we stick our hands under the lights lol. That's just causes for a lawsuit 100%.
