How do you add physical buttons to the hydros control? So say I want a button for feed mode or a oh s*** button to shut everything down. How do I do this?

Ive made a Hydros switch box. The best way is to use the 0-10v port, which also has 5v power available.

Each button applies a different voltage

I see a break out box connected to the hydros. where do I get that?

That is also something I custom made. The 4 channel 0-10v port is extremely powerful- I am using a $7 sensor to also get humidity and air temperature from that port.

I see..im sure the average person such as my self is not qualified or even know where to start to make custom electrical components.
