I haven't..

I have a NYOS fish trap, but it has successfully caught my blue hippo, not the wrasse.

Now I'm kind of wondering if I did make a somewhat sizable trap, maybe I throw in a lot of my sand and a couple of the corals he likes to flip, if he'd get in that.
Maybe! I had the 2liter with food in for about an hour. The wrasse got halfway inside a few times but everytime he got super close my stupid blenny would try to fight and spook him off.

I have a trap by two little fishies and it works incredible!!! I had ****** damsels and they are soooo fast and darty that they would be in the rock work and gone in no time when trying to catch them. I set up this trap that looks like a plastic fishbowl with a double ended suction cup thing, one end on the glass and the bowl attaches to the other side of the suction cups, the bowl side has this bulb and tube attached to it. You put it in the tank for a period of time so the fish are used to it (maybe you get lucky and it goes in on its own) But I left it in there for 6 or so hours and at night when it was feeding time I only added some food into the bowl which has the open end pointed horizontal, then I hid with the bulb in hand and as the fish I wanted to get went in it I hit the bulb and the bowl releases from the suction cups and bolts up to the top of tank (forgot to mention the rim of the bowl has foam around it). By the time the fish is caught it has no idea whats going on and is trying to swim down and out. Then bagged them up and off to the LFS they went... freebies for the LFS as I was happy to rid myself of them lol.
