How to change sump

So I have a wet/dry with bio balls in it on my 57 reef and I want to change to a fuge but the wet dry was put in through the top of the stand and then the tank placed on top. I do not want to empty the tank and take the tank off the stand, but I'm not sure how else I will be able to get the current wet/dry out and the new fuge in. Anyone have any ideas? It's a 3 foot side stand. I can post pics of it later

Post pics, the structure of your stand will determine if a side can be removed and how to do it. Taking some water out will help a lot with weight.

I was wondering about removing one of the sides. Tomorrow when I change the water I'll take pics inside and outside of the stand. I was wondering methods people used. Taking the tank off the stand isn't much of an option. If that's the case I won't upgrade until I have to move the tank again

I had a set up where I took the side of my stand off and replaced a damaged sump. I shored up the stand where needed and removed the side. It sounds easy put like that but it took time and a bit of frustration. Good luck!!!!
