I've recently had a breakout with an algae that looks like dino but isn't (forgot name). Its covering my corals, and I want to keep them clear of it to avoid problems. Blasting it off with a Turkey baster doesn't work...

You can use a soft toothbrush.
You should def be running some aggressive carbon as well.

Will zoas be okay with that as well?
Be more gentile but yes.
How long will a large media bag last in a 15 gal?
Just keep it in a night flow area so water passes through. If you are find through some trouble probaly repalce it everyother week.

No, not flow like a coral , flow like a reactor. So on the return pump for example.

Okay thanks! After some research I discovered its calothrix. Any advice in that? Only thing that I've read that works is small doses of H2O2 in the tank water at night when the algae is more in the column...kinda scared about it hurting the corals though.

Same problem I have added a uv sterilizer and 2 days can see an improvement. Did two 10% water changes within 5 days and everything seems to be getting back to normal.
