I have a skimmer inlet tube straight from outside of the house, I have a co2 scrubber attached to the skimmer tube. But even with that is still noticeable that ph goes up when my family is not in the house for more them a day,
Im away from the house and I can see that ph goes up significantly.

Im in the same boat but your ph is stellar. Im not sure id chase anything past 8.4 really. Ive go a line from outside of the house feeding my skimmer but i get 8.1-8.3. When im gone I can hit 8.5 but its not worth chasing i dont think.

I have considered an freshair / energy recovery system for our house….

I fought low PH for years until I found Notafeesh 2 part. Best thing I have ever done! Give it a look!

Looking at that graph, I'd just try to raise those troughs that I assume are at night when the lights are off. I run a refugium on a reverse light schedule and I dose more kalkwasser at night than during the day and my swing is usually within 0.05.

I'm also pulling air to my skimmer from outside, through a CO2 scrubber and using Notafeesh sodium hydroxide 2 part.

Thank you guys for your answers, im happy with my ph. Im just wondering how is my tank still absorbing my family's co2? If my air inlet is coming from outside.

the skimmer isn’t the only location where gas exchange is occurring. It’s happening at the surface of the display and sump with the air in the house

Notafeesh + a co2 scrubber my pH overnight is 8.0 and my high is 8.5 at the end of the day. I dose Notafeesh every 30 minutes 24 hours a day.
