How can I plumb my Waterbox Lx 290.5 into my Rubbermaid 100g in the basement
Carefully. However, it’s the same principal as having a sump in the bottom of the stand, only that the vertical distances are greater. The single most important thing to design in is what happens when power fails. To that point, you must have a syphon breaker in your display tank to not overflow your sump in the basement. The next most important thing is to not overflow the display tank if something blocks drain from display to sump.

But how do I connect the sump in the cabinet with the sump in the basement and at the same time make sure it doesn’t overflow if something fail

Again, carefully. Many have done it. It’s a question of balance

Same principal as display to sump. However, if it doesn’t”t make sense to you, then get a professional to do it.

You mean three tanks? I have a 40b going into a 50 lowboy, going into a 40b sump.

They step down. The 40b has a herbie overflow and the drains to the lowboy which is set about a foot lower and to the right. Then the lowboy to the sump. Same herbie type. Then the sump up to the lowboy.

Id put the sump in the basement with the rubber maid. Overflow from the tank, to the tub, and then to the sump. Then pump back up to the display. Or overflow from the tank to the sump in the basement and have a second return pump in the sump that pumps water to the tub that then also overflows back into the same sump. Not sure how youd be able to incorporate the tub in the basement without doing it this way and somehow having the sump below everything.

I have my 125g w/dual drains, draining through the floor to a 100g Rubbermaid refugium then draining into a 300g stock tank full of rock. Sucking out of 300g pumped by reeflo hammerhead back upstairs and split into two returns. I have a gate valve on the return side to adjust flow through system

Why would you need a sump under the cabinet if you are using a giant one in the basement? Couldn’t you just bypass the cabinet and go directly to basement sump?
