My friend is switching his tank from a Fowlr to a reef tank. He salinity was low and we need to slowly bring it up. Other than doing massive water changes what would be the best way to do this?

I thought about doing this but he is running kalk in his ATO and I’m not sure the kalk will mix the same way in saltwater??
Pour a gallon of salt water in every day until target salinity reached. It wont use ato as much but you will be adding the salt needed to raise salinity.

Just top off with salt water. Take the kalk offline for now and just set that bucket aside. Bring over a 5g bucket of salt water and top off with that instead for a few days.
