Hi everyone,
Does anyone who has the Hygger mini 2600GPH wavemaker know how to take it apart to clean the parts? I haven’t found how it comes apart without feeling like I am completely going to break it. Apparently the guard on the 1600 gph model twists off easily, but the 2600gph model is designed a bit differently and doesn’t easily twist off. I’ve tried twisting, pulling, pressing the little circles on the side thinking they were buttons but no dice so far.

Am I missing something or is this thing actually impossible to take apart? lol

You're not the only one:

You're not the only one:

The one I had was a different style (cage) and broke when I opened it according to instructions that I eventually found online. The plastic was of such low grade that when bent, it wouldn't re-conform back to its original shape. Straight garbage that got sent back to Amazon for a refund. Bought some Jebao SLW 20 and 30s and have been impressed so far with the build quality and ease of cleaning *they do spark when you plug in the power cords. I have Tunze, AI Nero, Neptune WAV, and EcoTech pumps, but view these cheaper Jebaoes as a much better value... so far.

I have jaebo, which are relatively easy to take apart and clean.
I know I might sound wrong but please understand.
From your pictures, first... you need to remove outer/ holder this has rubber ring inserts (highlighted red) Then twist whole body with two hands one hand on base/ back, one hand on front/cage/ gaurd

So buttons on side are basically rubber rings to support movement (not actual buttons) :)
Do not worry, I pressed these many times before ;)

I know this is an old post but after fiddling with my Hygger for 20 minutes I went to google and found your post. Five minutes and I was done. Thanks @Rick's Reviews !

I know once you figure it out, it’s super easy. They really need to put it in the manual lol

Agreed, that was the first thing I did. Broke out the manual and there was nothing.
