How would you improve my tank?

I’ve never been good with scapes and it’s been over a year atleast since I’ve bought a new coral. I like my tank but I definitely feel like it’s missing wow factor. Just meh factor currently. Let me know some coral / scape / whatever else I could do!

First, I'd get one more rock in there. Left side, pointing out towards the front glass, just to the left of the big toadstool. As it is, the toadstool dominates the tank to a ludicrous degree, so you need something to balance it out.

Second - do you have any fish in there, or are they just hiding? You need to get something for active movement in there.

Third - you need more color in there. It might just be the picture, but your tank looks like it's filled with nothing but green. It looks like the tank is mostly (exclusively?) softies, which is fine, but you need other colors to add more varied interest. Zoanthids, clove corals, and rock flower anemones would all be good options. Mushrooms are another great option.

You could also try for some LPS corals. Acans, trumpets, Duncans, favites, favia, chalice corals - again, lots of good options here.

get some rockwork on the left side of your tank to create some depth in the scape. Cover it with different color mushrooms :) cleanup the sandbed a bit and you are good to go

if it were my tank, id remove the pwer head and upgrade the chamber pump,remove the dual nozzle and add a aquaspin nozzle. i would put a colorful chalice on the sandbed and maybe change the light to something with a little more UV and royal blue for more pop. remove the feeder and ring,maybe hang the feeder on the light arm or chamber wall. or get a nice branch rock and mount some colorful zoas to it and put it in the sandbad area

Lots of space on the sand for some bright colourful colors, or you can also add some more rocks for coral mounting. I would add some colorful corals with movement, such as goniopora. Basically, if that toadstool wasn't there, the tank would look empty, so add more coral.

As nice as the toadstool is....I agree. It is too big for the tank....makes the rest of the tank look smaller than it is.

I love the toadstool, but I do agree it is rather large for that tank. It limits other kinds of corals you can put in there. I would add more rock to the left side of your tank, and put more coral in there to help brighten the color of your tank.

Tank is all softies and all green. The toadstool is ridiculously big but I love it. Had it since it was the size of a quarter. I’d like to move it somewhere that wouldn’t take up so much space but it’s on a rock that’s like an arc shape so kinda hard

Missed the fish thing. There is 1 clown. Used to be 2 but he jumped and the clown that’s in there is pretty mean it took like 3 clowns to get her to even like that one.

The light is usually more blue but you can’t see anything when I take pictures with my phone so I turned up the whites for the picture

I have the upgraded pump and random flow generators and it’s no where near enough flow. I could put the pump in the back left I just need to move rocks around but I definitely need the pump

I don't think you need to get rid of the toadstool, you just need to balance it out with some other corals. Just be diligent with it - it's probably about as big as it will get, but it will start self-fragging soon if it hasn't already. You'll either need to dispose of the frags or put them on plugs to trade to your LFS if they'll take them. I have a toadstool of my own that started about eraser sized and is now 4 massive toadstools, 8 medium-sized toadstools, and who knows how many tiny toadstools. That's fine in a larger tank, but it would completely fill your tank up.

Understood on the clown, unfortunately there aren't a lot of fish you can put in with one in a tank your size if she's belligerent.

Here I what I went with. Broke off the part of the rock the toadstool lives on, put it in the corner. Put the other side of the rock on the right. That opened up a spot in the middle. I’m thinking of just getting a rock that’ll sit in the front there that can hold a bunch of coral.
