Howdy Reefers! We hail from N. Florida (Gainesville area) - Freshwater aquarists with Axolotls but recently acquired an established, 8 y.o., 92g mixed reef tank (video attached on morning after move, running for 8hrs at the time). We are currently a week into the adventure and totally hooked.

In the process of upgrading the tank and correcting some issues so after lurking for a month and constantly turning to the forum we’ve decided to join. Looking forward to interacting with you all and being apart of this awesome community!

- Danielle & Nathan Kidd

Current Equipment:
Display- 48”x19”x20” bowfront (72 gallon) with HOB single return - not drilled
Sump - 30”x12”x12” (20g long)
Skimmer - Bubble Magus Curve 3.5
Refugium - in sump, 15”x 12”x12” with live sand and Fiji rock - lit with a CFL bulb/reptile style hood on timer
Return Pump - Sicce 568 gph
ATO - 10 gallon reservoir with diy float system that makes me nervous.
Power heads- (1) sunsun JVP 101 & (1) Hydor (660 I think - fairly low current)

Fish:
(1) Kole Tang
(1) Maroon
(1) B&W

Corals:
Zoanthids - Rastas, Sunny D and Gorilla Nips*
Candy Cane Trumpet
5 head Duncan
4 head branch torch/hammer
(2) Mushroom clusters
Nuclear green palythoa cluster
80lbs LR with lots of coralline but has yellow sponge taking over in places

Other:
Lots of 4 legged stars (unknown type but scarily abundant) have a harlequin shrimp otw but I realize it will be a vicious cycle since it lives off stars (maybe someone local will want him in 6-8 months after stars are gone).
Healthy population of flatworms (scared to irradicate these chemically so I pluck them out when I see them).

Hi Danielle & Nathan - Welcome! Glad you joined

Lisa and Michael here - its my tank when its good and his tank when its bad or I want plumbing help LOL - Sharing a tank has been an interesting journey for our relationship as sometimes we want different things going on but its just the one tank... eventually we may get another FOWLR tank (and maybe move anemones there).

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. Like you, I found an established tank, moved and started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

Welcome to the party, glad to have you here. Feel free to share a few pics, video sometimes doesn't work (especially watching on phones.)

Hey Lisa and Michael!! Thanks for your thoughtful reply, I will definitely have to start a build thread. I am busy atm laying out how to redo my plumbing and integrate an apex and current USA loop system, I have so many questions and had no idea where to post this solves it! Thank you so so much - Happy Reefing
