Can I use a human magnesium supplement to dose a reef tank until I get reef grade stuff? Also what is the best levels of mag for a reef tank with two large organ pipe corals?

You can use epsom salts although Im not sure about dosage, Im sure there is a calculator online somewhere. Make sure its pure with no fragrances etc.
You should be able to keep up with MG through regular waterchanges tho. NSW is about 1200-1300 I believe but anywhere from 1100-1400 is safe.

No. Most will drive all through the roof even for a small magnesium addition. As folks note Epsom salt and magnesium chloride are suitable for dosing if pure enough.
