This thing was spawning tornadoes last night and the update this morning is 2 fishing piers almost completely destroyed and 2 people killed. The winds are 50-100mph depending on the area...ALOT of rain! They had to evacuate the OBX because of this! Right now,I live on a golf course, and it looks like a huge pond with islands in it, hills. The winds are making waves in the standing water, so it looks more like a sound than a pond.

Feel free to post your hurricane updates as it hits your area, hopefully it does not, but if it does.

Good luck! How bad is this one compared to other storms you have weathered. Crazy the power of Big Mamma! May all your families and friends be safe, west coast saying a prayer for the Eastern Reefers.

Thanks! This is only a category 1 now. BUT many of the surrounding towns are flooded. Almost all of the east coast of NC is in a FlashFlood warning zone until around 6-9 tonight. Our power just went out, and I have extension cords from the 1 working room to the tanks. Everything else is off....Im about to ride out into town how its looking...

How did you end up doing? Still have power?

CJ

Most places around me do not have powe, but our area in the county does.

We were lucky.. Power only went off for a few seconds..Alot of wind and rain though... It's been so dry that we didn't have much standing water
