Hydra 64hd issue

I haven’t used this light in a long time. I got a second system up and running and I’m trying to add some additional lights. It’s flashing red green nonstop. I can’t get it to do anything. The fan is working fine. I’ve held the button for 10 seconds. I’ve held the button and unplugged it and plugged it back in. Same thing. Any thoughts?

This is a cut and paste from what I found. I hope it works. I don't have a Hydra to test it.


To perform a hard reset on the AquaIllumination Hydra 64HD, follow these steps:

1. Hold down the red button on the side of the light.
2. Remove the power jack from the light itself.
3. Push the power jack back into the light while still holding in the red button.
4. Release the red button. This will reset the light unit.
   After the reset, you will need to set the unit back into discovery mode by holding the red button on the side of the unit for around 5-7 seconds until the status LED flashes red/green rapidly. Release the button, and the status LED will turn solid red, indicating that the light is in discovery mode and will be found by either the MK II controller or Director when searched for. The light unit will then be updated to the latest firmware once connected to the controller/director. If the unit fails to update, change the wireless channel in the Controller or Director settings and reset the light again using the guide above and retry.

Hmmmm. Maybe I missed a button on the side, I was only using the button in the middle of the face with the four lenses. I’m going to look and retry tonight.

Both? There is only one on the top unless there is a second internally. I’ve wondered if the fan is giving faulty readings as I chased this too. The exterior facing fan is working fine and turns on as soon as I power up the unit.

This just worked for me on 2 Hydra 32's that I reset. Good luck.
