I believe the BRS frag tank was a Fast Fit hydroponic stand. The smallest is 2' x 4' and they are relatively inexpensive (especially when purchased from a hydroponic store :))
the problem is I have no stores near me :( I don't mind building the stand if I have to, but these reservoirs are crazy to ship.

Found a reservoir local ( hour and a half away) so I pulled the trigger and got the Botanicare 115 gallon.

yeah, I know lol... my plan was to do a 4x2 frag tank, but I found this 115 gallon and couldn't resist!! wait until my wife see this monster in the garage, with a 100 gallon trough sump and 16+ T5's she's going to flip.

It will be an amazing system! Best of luck with that ... um ... interaction!

I’ll just try to set it up as fast as possible so she can’t say no lol

Have you built your stand yet? Would love to see how you did it.

It appears that Ocean State Aquatics (see video of tanks in facility) is using the same Botanicare 115g tanks at their aquaculture facility.

I used to use these botanicare trays to grow out frags. I had 3 plumbed together on a 2x4 wood stand against the garage wall with the 120 Rubbermaid stock tank below as a sump and T5 fixtures above each. Worked like a charm. Affordable and easily expandable.

Checking in! I want to see pics of your “hydroponic” / flood tray frag tanks! To anyone who is using one, how is it working out?

The only problem with these is the fact that they are white. They are absolutely blinding under 200-300 par. Might get better with some black egg crate and after algae takes hold. On the bright side (no pun intended), they reflect a lot of light onto the corals, so the frags get light from all directions. But I would rather keep my eyesight.

The Botanicare 115‘s work well. I built the accompanying stands out of plywood and 2x4s. The sides of the Botanicare trays will bow unless they're supported so I built a basic frame around them to support them and had no issues. That said, my experimented ended and I now have three Botanicare 115‘s that’s are available for sale if someone is interested and can pick them up in central Florida. Feel free to send me a PM for additional info and pictures.
