Hmmmmm…..

This comes directly from someone who has been with Hydros since the beginning and knows the system better than just about anybody and certainly knows it more than any other Hydros user I trust

“Old WiFi strips would reset to OFF until they connected to WiFi/hydros. Newer strips remember their last state if power cycled”

Maybe I misunderstood though. Wouldn’t be the first and won’t be the last
The state difference across strips is based on power cycle. I’ve seen the original strips default to OFF if power cycled and WiFi connection had not been established with the Hydros master device. I’ve seen some newer strips (about 1-2 years ago maybe) that will default to the previous state prior to losing power until connected to the Hydros master device. IE outlet was ON, power goes out. Then power comes back on. Outlet will go back to ON. Then once connection is remade to the Hydros master device, state is what ever the hydros tells it. I have not used any of the recently produced ones.

All strips otherwise act the same. State remains the same until told to change by the master hydros device. IE outlet is told to turn on. Local WiFi connection is lost, outlet remains on. State only changes with active WiFi link to master hydros device. This is regardless if internet is available between the router and your ISP. WIFI strip control is only local and doesn’t require internet for changes in state.

You can not program a WiFi outlet to a default state if WiFi is lost.
