For those of you on the hydros collective and are monitoring Ph, salinity, and ORP, can you actually calibrate your ORP probe within Hydros?

I’ve found instructions on how to calibrate PH, it I can’t find anything on whether you can calibrate the ORP probe.

I have been thinking about switching from Neptune to hydros as the Neptune Orp probe calibration requires a special costly solution to calibrate. This is only one of the things making me look at other controllers, so I thought I’d check with the hydros users to get their feedback with regards to Orp and calibration of the probe within the hydros collective.

There is an offset you can change in the ORP settings. I set the offset on mine after the probe was in the tank a few weeks and used calibration fluid to set the offset. Here is a screenshot of my ORP input settings.

But there is no actual calibration function like there is for the ph probe?

Just the offset just like the temp sensors. If there is only one calibration solution it is basically an offset adjustment anyway.

Just like pH the pH point 7 is normally the offset adjustment and the ph 4 and 10 or normally the gain adjustments. It is just calculated by the calibration routine instead of you making the actual adjustment but that requires using calibration solutions at same points in the calibration routine. If it is just an offset only then you can get a calibration solution near where your reading will normally be and adjust till it reads correctly in the calibration solution.
