Hydros sole temperature

I received my Hydros Sole a few days ago, I installed it for my calcium reactor and it works great, it is the best continuous dosing system I have ever tried, however I have noticed this temperature and it worries me a little.

Bump. This is not the first I've heard of Hydros products running hot. I'd like to hear other's experiences and recommendations.

I’d contact their support, they were very responsive and helpful for issues I had.

I have 4 and when they aren't pumping they run around 80f (about 8 degrees f above ambient temp). My XP8s run around 108f and the hottest I have is a WaveEngine at 117f.

How did you get yours to start priming the first time? I just bought one. And I can’t get it actually run. Also. Did you add simple doser or smart doser option? I just want it to run continuously. Last but not least which side is the input and which is output? They don’t tell you any of that.

This is how I have it as in the image, I don't remember which side takes out and which one enters water but you can check it once it starts working, you must calibrate it before using it in a calcium reactor or other applications.

Thanks for response! Yea unfortunately directions say don’t calibrate until it’s primed. But I can’t get it to turn on. The help desk said only “check reservoir level shows it low”. So when I get home imma tinker with that. It’s just weird cause I can’t get it to turn on manually or auto. Or even to calibrate. The motor just won’t turn. It’s so strange. It’s communicating I know because it detected changes I make by lights flickering when I save new changes.

I got help from Michael. Top notch customer service. Very happy with how out of their way they went to help me. Doser works great now. Apparently I had it turned so slow of a speed it was imperceptible that it was moving. It’s crazy how fast or how slow you can set this thing. Great doser.

55c is about 131f, this is within the operating range of the unit. Remember, HYDROS color codes pretty much everything, this yellow is an indication that the heat is warm, and a yellow level. At 155f, it would switch to RED and then we must take some mitigation steps. These are passive chips, they are able to handle much hotter than that.

If you did want to change it to F, that is located in your options page, along with time zone settings. If in USA. :)
