Hey all, I think I am about to purchase my first controller, a second hand Hydros X4. I was curious, is there an existing solution for line voltage detection, I.E. if I lose power to my home, but my battery backup (APC SMARTUPS 750) is supplying my controller, which is controlling my accessories on an XP8, is there an existing sensor or solution to detect wall power, and therefore change pump speeds, heater setpoints etc if lost?

My day job is machine automation for a household name company, mascot sort of looks like a man made of tires lol. I am thinking about building a sensor with a digital output and just use a sense port, or even better, would be amazing if the command bus communication protocol is available, could save precious ports.

Thanks!

Check on the Hydros forum. I think I remember someone on there that has done it. I have a Wave Engine and Kraken that has battery backup and it automatically goes into low power mode but my XP8 is not powered but the flow pumps are powered off the Wave Engine and I do not run heaters or skimmer during no power conditions so no need for AC on mine during a no power event.
