Hygger lights

Does anyone have any experience with hygger lights? Was scrolling through some cheaper light options and stumbled across some hygger lights. I wasn’t planning on getting them, they just seem like a bit of a risk but has anyone used them? I used to use their lights with planted freshwater tanks and they works great, but not sure if they’ll give me the look I’m trying to get with a reef tank.

I have the hygger 22 watt reef light (SKU:HG990-Sea) on a 3 gallon pico, it's great for macroalgae, my dragons breath thrives, zoathids and gorgonian do well under it but keep in mind it's a 3 gallon. I just put some candy cane coral in the other day and they seem to be doing OK. The light spectrum on full gives more white than anything, the blues are low and the reds you don't notice at all. I know it doesn't help all that much but it's all i got for ya.

How many watts is the light you are looking and what size tank?

The aquaknight a029 and a036 work better and the a036 does fairly well for a 9 gallon fluval flex. The k7 mini 60 watt light grows everything very well including acros in my 20 gallon, but if you were to go that route I'd personally try to get the bigger version of the k7

I’m setting up a 120 and going for a mixed reef, like I said wasn’t really thinking they’d be a good option right now, but just kinda curious, maybe for future tanks.

120 gallons? You need something around 200 ish watts, I don't think hyyger makes lights anywhere near that strong
