I purchased a brown tang and a Fox face fish today. I placed them in my tank and did not think about the fact that the are prone to catching ich. Now I am worried. They look perfectly healthy. The store that I purchased the fish from treats all of there tanks with copper as a precaution. My tank is 65 gallons. Should I be worried.

You might get lucky but 65 gallons is on the small side for those so keep that in mind. :)

On top of using copper, your LFS probably keeps the fish in 1.020 salt water to keep signs of infection down. Now assuming that the fish are in 1.025-1.026 salt water; any infection that they may have is more likely to show it's self.

Hopefully the fish will be ok and the copper took care of anything they may have had.

Some people don't QT at all. I think you will be ok, but as others have said, the brown tang is a little large for a 65g tank. Some will say 65 is too small for a foxface, while others might say you will be fine with one in a tank that size.

A bristletooth tang like tomini or kole would be better in your size tank than the brown tang. A 4ft tank would be better even for the bristletooth tangs. A one spot foxface can go in a 70g tank but I am guessing that 4ft would be better for it too.
