I am going back to my original salt. I started with a 20g water change yesterday and will do 20g water changes every 3 or 4 days for a few weeks. I also took out the rowa floss and will keep a eye on phosphates. Keeping the lights at 45%. Will test before each water change and see how it goes. Thank you to everyone for the input.

OK. It has been a couple weeks since I started changing back to red sea coral pro salt and set my lights back at 45% intensity. The tank is rebounding nice. Color is coming back in my montiporas and most acros. My green slimers looks to have rebounded the best. What do I do with the tips of the acros that where burnt? Just leave them or cut them off?

Glad things are improving.

As to the acro tips, once they get algae on them, I cut them back, just into the flesh. If they are in a happy place, they will quickly heal over and most will branch a few nubs at the cut. For the leggy acros (like slimer) I cut them once a leg/branch gets longer than a couple inches.

If they are still white, I leave them alone as bleached pieces can make a recovery.

Right on thank you
