How much fun is it to go to the reef store and but a brown SPS turd and watch it turn into something AMAZING!!!?

Recently bought this piece, looks like a staghorn, that was a light brown with no color even in the polyps. After about a week in my tank the tips and polyps start turning a nice blue, even more so around the tips. Now almost 2 week after the purchase, the base is a crazy light blue with intense green rim!!! Also the branches themselves are getting a green/purple to them. I can't not wait to see what happens in another 2 weeks. LOL Just had to post this. Super excited.....as you can see.

I have a few before pics done with my cell phone I'll try and get up. I'll have to wait till tomorrow to get some day pics. But I'm sure the pics wont do the coral justice. But maybe we can get close.

I love it! I do the exact same thing. I don't care about color as I am pretty good on color in my tank. And you can always get the best deals with the brown turds

Great job! The best part of reefing is watching a piece color up IMO, getting a deal on it is icing on the cake!
