I just flooded part of my house. I was at my girlfriend's house over the weekend and didn't come home yesterday since jobs were closed due to weather. I came home last night and heard what sounded like a constant ticking... I thought maybe icicles outside are dripping. It was very faint. This morning I go downstairs (now that there is light) and see my entire living room area ceiling and wall is dripping water onto the coffee table, rug, couch, floor, everywhere. This happened before in the same exact spot due to a leaky connector under the faucet. I thought, oh no, not again!

Come to find out it's the dang silicone hose I have attached to one of (I have two) faucets in the master bathroom (to fill up buckets for my fish tank in my bedroom). This hose is usually curled up in the sink, but for some reason it was hanging down to the floor, and FOR SOME REASON the mother***** faucet was turned on just a little bit to slowly trickle hot water out. It was so little I couldn't hear it. But this has been happening for who knows how long? I don't even remember last time I touched that hose. Last I cleaned my tank was maybe 2 weeks ago. So has it been slowly trickling for 2 whole weeks??

I have several buckets catching water drops, but even the adjacent wall has water pockets forming and water leaking out of them down onto the floor. Good timing, too... it's a nice warm -1 degrees Fahrenheit out there. I go to use my dehumidifier, it keeps telling me the water is full (it's not). I couldn't get it to work so I drop kicked that thing across the floor and now I don't have dehumidifier :) Life is wonderful sometimes.
