Hello !
(Let's just mention that I'm not good at chemistry...)
So today I measured a kh of 6,5 I'd like to increase that to 8 in about 3 days (+0,5/day). I've done some calculations using Randy's DIY alk dosing. But I need some reassurance in wether or not my calculations are ok.
I'm going to use litre not gallon 1gallon is about 3,78litres (using RODI water of course)
297grams of NaHCO3 added to 3,78l causes 2660 dKH
but I want to make only 1l solution so:
78,57grams should cause 2660dKH in 1litres of RoDi water
My tank is 180l (full volume) so to have +0,5dKH/day I have to dose 34mls/day from the 2660dKH solution, yes ?
