Okay so this Colorado has been a CONSTANT pain in my butt and I’m really at the point where I don’t even care anymore I’m just SICK OF IT. My tanks been running for about five years I have extremely stable params and my tank grows acros and everything else no problem. This bubble tip has been walking non stop for probably 3 months straight. It’s walked into my overflow twice in the past 3 weeks and now it’s in my ***** media rack. The only way to open the media rack is by sliding up the back panel and it’s footed on top and bottom of the first tray and to the sides of the box. I’m trying to save the nem if possible but I’m seriously so ticked off I’m throwing sht. Anybody have any ideas? I’m honestly so sick of it I’m about to just rip the thing off and flush it. BEYOND frustrated.

Can’t open the video, but I have used ice cubes in the past to make an anemone let go off its grip

There’s ABSOLUTELY no way I can get an icecube on the bottom of it. I’m losing it seriously. I just got home off a 14 hour shift of working construction and need to be up at 4 tomorrow to go again and I’ve been trying to get this thing off for an hour and a half…. lol LOSING IT.

Sorry you’re going through this — my Haddoni’s walked around a lot, esp due to change in light and/or flow. Understand that it can be very frustrating. However, perhaps take a few steps back and relax a little? As long as the flow is not as strong (ideally turn off flow) it will correct itself and crawl out?

lol it’s in my media box. If my flow is on all the water goes through it. I’ve had my return off for the past hour and 45 trying to get it out but I can’t leave my return off forever.

do you have room to put the media tower in your tank? Let it climb out there. Or maybe hold it above the water and see if it drops off. In any event, take a deep breath.

Unfortunately I don’t have room for the box in my display my tanks only a bio cube. I just killed my return and left my wavenakers on in my display. I also have a return going to a chaeto reactor in chamber 2 so I have water movement in my display and rear chambers. Idk. I took a shower and cooled off. It actually looks like it might be splitting which would be REALLY good. It would make it much easier to remove. I’m all good. I’ll give it a few hours but in the event that nothing happens I might just have to take a razor and separate it. I will probably be okay to leave my main return off over night but all day tomorrow definitely not.

Hope everything works out. Hate to be that guy but acros and BTAs have different needs. BTAs don't appreciate high flow, could be the reason he is walking. Hope he (they) can find a happy place! Really hard to make everyone happy in a small tank.

This things been fine in my system almost 2 years. It’s a mixed reef and sps/lps/softies are all doing fine. It’s not like my systems a low nutrient system either. Idk I kinda flew off the handle earlier I almost threw a bottle of all for reef through the window lol. It’s been a journey with this thing. The past three months have been HELL.

Update…. I got that joint out of my media box and back into my display. After like 3 hours with no flow it walked out of the tray and onto the sliding back wall so I pulled the back wall out and rested it against a rock in my display. Three days later she split and both sides look great. Thanks for the help guys.
