I swear this is like a pincher bug!!!! What is it

So these things are all over my sump. Look like a pincher bug but in the water. What are these? Anything that eats them? Havnt seen any in my DT just the sump and some are HUGE

Amphipods. Harmless detritivores, CUC, and fish food. Kind of surprised you haven't seen them or heard of them yet, they're quite common.
Well I had a mandarin and anthias school before my tank crashed so maybe I just never saw them cause they were being eaten lol

Ew… wish I had never seen those or bristle worms… they give me the creeps! Remind me of the two bugs that freak me out the most, puncher bugs and centipedes or the dreaded millipede. (Insert barf emoji)

A centipede bit my bum once when I was camping. Never liked 'em much after that.

Regular old amphipod.
It's funny we call these fish food, but there was a time when none of the fish that I had would touch an amphipod, so they ran wild and were harassing corals and even chewing on some polyps that I had. But all it takes is one wrasse or similar fish, and it puts them in their place pretty quick.
