Icecap ATO EZ keeps adding water randomly

Got an ATO Ez from ice cap a few weeks ago. The sensor works well and fills the sump correctly but my issue is that every few minutes it randomly turns on for a splash of water, ultimately bringing the water above the sensor and completely diluting my tank..

For some reason it has stopped. I did reboot the pump, maybe that did the trick
