Icecap battery backup with apex.

Hello my question is if I use apex for feeding to turn off outlets to my icecap 3k will the icecap battery kick on if I turn off the gyres outlets for feeding?

I dont have gyres but if controlled via the ice cap>apex link could you not program a feeding on the apex to turn off without having to disconnect power? Also not an apex user [emoji23]
