ARE THE Icecap K3 Hangon skimmers any good and will they fit a 125 gallon tank. I do not want to use a sump due to space restrictions and added expense >Thanks!!!

They are not horrible, but it is not close to having a traditional in-sump skimmer. There are DIY AIO kits, but I haven't seen one for a tank larger than 75g. You may want to consider a Tunze Comline DOC skimmer. It isn't cheap, but it provides effective in-tank skimming in an attractive piece of equipment.

Thanks BUT THEY look cheap IMO opinion. The plastic looks flimsy and I would have to pay 500 dollars for something that may be good but the plasticity concerns me!

@jft Old thread, but did you end up getting the K3? I have K3-250 and not so happy with it...wanted your thoughts on ny tweaks you might know
