I started with 3 of these guys in QT. One died within a week. A few weeks ago someone one pointed out that the cleaner wrasse just picked at one of the cardinals. I started hyposalinity treatment that day. I'm at the point where I should start raising the salinity back to normal but I see these spots on the remaining Cardinal. It seems to be on both sides but haven't changed in a week.

Can anyone tell me if I need to maintain hypo longer? #reefmedic

Other inhabitants are the cleaner Wrasse and a firefish goby. Neither of those have ever shown any symptoms of Ich.

Thank you for looking

Yes fish looks clear. If eating and acting normal, you want to first do a water change and S L O W L Y bring salinity back up. You can drop quickly but must raise salinity.

Thank you. I thought it wasn't ich but wanted to check here before I star raising the SG.

Yep, not my first time doing hypo. I do that for all new fish in QT before moving them over. I usually go 5 days to raise the QT to match the DT.

Thank you for the reply.

How long were the fish in hypo though? You should hold the fish in full hypo (1.009) for 30 days.
