I just acquired a Powder Brown Tang after a couple days in tank notice some white spots . Small cluster on back right Side as well as one spot which looks like it is flowing in current. Not sure if this is considered ich or nosomething else . Did not quarantine fish when I got him he looked ok . My tank is new setup with just a couple clowns and 1 Bristletooth tang up for about 5 months . 20% water change every 10 days. Not sure what it could be any help will be appreciated.

Bits flowing in current means more likely viral or bacterial tufts. They should go away with water quality, good food, and lack of stress.

This is skin irritation along with mucus cones which may be mixed in with ich which this type of fish is susceptible to and fish will need to be treated with coppersafe at 2.25 level for a full 30 days
Assure good water quality and monitor copper level with a reliable copper test kit

So sure enough was waiting get my order for copper and prazipro while setting up my qt tank in middle of the coldest winter ever and sure enough wasn't fast enough. Just yesterday looked at all my fishes and they all have white spots now . Will need to pull them out and get another tank. Thank you for your suggestion
