i did my first icp test and got my results. It says I have high sulfur which was 1163.28 and high molybdenum which was .005. What should I do to fix these?

The reports usually have suggestions for how to tackle the issues. I don't know the ranges well enough to say if those are insane values or not. Do you dose anything that would add those?

What supplements are you using? High sulfate only comes from the salt mix, or excessive use of additives in the sulfate form (e.g., epsom salt). I doubt it is a big deal.

What exactly was the molybdenum value and the units?

Well it definitely doesn’t tell me about for what to do about it. I screen shot it.

My acros are faded out and some are kinda browning out, thats why I did the test to see if anything was way out of wack.

I use instant ocean reef crystals and do a water change every 2-3 weeks. The only additives that I’ve used is the basic 4 nano products by kz.(coral vitalizer, amino acid, sponge powder, pohls xtra). I only do them once a week instead of daily like it recommendeds because I’m scared to add to much.

Your tin is also pretty high. I am dealing with that right now too. Copper is also showing detectable levels.

So just do water changes? Like how to start that? And how did all this bad stuff get in my aquarium?

I’m not a fan of this company for many reasons that have been discussed in the past.

That said, it doesn’t say 005 ppm molybdenum , it says 0.005 ppm. That is 5 ppb. It’s a fine value.

If the sulfate is from your salt mix, water changes don’t alter it. But Reef Crystals is not that high, you do not appear to have other big sources and I’d ignore it, especially since it may not be accurate.
