First I’d like to thank you guys because this all looks the same to me. I need help with ID because I keep flipping back and forth and the solution for each type is the opposite lol.
Background on the tank is it’s a Aqueon 125 that’s been running for 3 weeks. I did take all the live rock, sand and insides of my cannister filter from a 40 breeder I had running for about a year and transferred it over. Which I thought would shoot me right through a cycle. Obviously I had to purchase more sand and dry rock.
I have approximately 2600 gph of flow from my two sicce 5 return pumps which I think are approximately 1300 gph each. Drains to sump where I’m running light carbon, filter socks, skimmer, and a refugium with chaeto(I was leaving fuge light on 24 hours a day but now I’m not sure) algae does not appear to be growing in refugium
I run t5’s for 8 hours a day, it’s in basement and receives a little sunlight which I have tried to reduce.
Is this part of a normal cycle (the one I thought I defeated) and can I have help identifying it please. Trying to decide if I should be concerned or just wait it out. 4 days ago I added a clean up crew of approximately 10 nessarius, 6 emeralds , 9 trochus, and a Diamond goby. I once a week was feeding reef roids and dosing lugols. I had dozed alk before and it just came down to the below level today
Here are parameters
1.025 for the salt
Temp 77.8
Ammonia: 0
Calc: 497
Alk: 7.9
PH : 8.4
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: somewhere between 5-10 weekly water change coming up in about two days
Phosphate: 0
