I keep getting green stringy algae on my glass and was just wondering exactly what kind of algae it is. Almost a dot with two or three hairs attached. It is extremely easy to remove...just lightly pass over it and it comes off. The problem is it keeps returning. I have recently switched from power compact bulbs to two panorama ecoxotic strips (12.5 inches). Could this be the cause of it as it seems like it started right around the same time.

Thanks!!

Tough call, if its in an area where flow directly hits it, its just normal bacteria algae growing. Happens to everyone.

Yea, its normal stuff. I still get it on mine, when I let the glass go for a few days. I believe its more bacteria than algae. But could be a combination of them both.
