Sold to me as a female red fairy wrasse. Can anyone confirm or elaborate on an ID?Cirrhilabrus rubripinnis, Red-finned Fairy wrasse?

Reason i ask is i have introduced a male Red dot and dash flasher and dont want any problems.

I have the same one, sold to me as a red fairy wrasse. It'll develop some yellow hue's on it.

Charles, yours appears to be a different fish. Notice it lacking the characteristic tail spot. I will try to ID yours.

Yeah... and although I was unable to find an ID on your wrasse, I have a couple of reasons why. First is that the database of female wrasse photos is not very complete. Second, a lot of the females actually look a lot alike and I am no ichthyologist. Third, it appears possible that yours may have been a female and is becoming a male, hence the addition of coloration.

maybe, that's why it's probably all the sudden getting aggressive towards my leopard and yellow coris.
