Def no expert. Just a hobbiest. With sharks, you will learn to live with high Nitrates. Nitrites is a different story. I recommend waiting.

There in my 300gallon Dt with a few triggers and Tangs. It was a chore massive water changes every week. But since the pellet reactor has come on line it’s been close to a month and I’m at 30ppm Nitrates. And I feed 2 lbs of shrimp a week to that tank. Not counting the silversides.

Sounds like your pellet reactor is ready to go. Are you moving it to your pond with your sharks? If so, you are good IMO.
