Just got a CUC pack in and it had 5 unusual hermits in it. I was wondering what they are and if they are safe or not in my tank. They are pretty sizable and fast.

Looks like a thin stripe hermit. They can get pretty big.
Make sure you have some larger shells for them.

Assuming they have sufficient shells I assume they are otherwise ok?

No hermit crab is 100% safe.
I do have one of these thin stripes in my tank and it has not caused any issues yet. But “yet“ is the key word.
Just watch and be ready to put them in the sump if they misbehave;)
