never had corals before so when i got this thing i was a little excited...i was told by my friend it could be a colt coral? i dont know...if it is a kenya tree...what could i do? its only been in the tank for two days....

Touch it, a colt coral will feel slippery/slimy, a Kenyan Tree will feel rough/not slippery. Looks like a Kenyan to me though.

To give to a idea there more size to that coral than it seems. They are VERY hardy and when stressed will deflate as in you photo but when not stressed the one you have and be very tall a 4-5" tall but that depends on a few things. Such as water flow on it lighting age of tank ect but when happy and very nice soft coral. If really happy it will look like its ends are just dropping off its just seeding itself so make sure you collect ALL of the baby and try to sell to local reefers or to your LFS. Post when it opens up would love to see it.

Yep, kenya tree, easy beginner soft coral that grows and reproduces like a weed!
