I agree Bruce, doesn't seem to be a veggie.

Do you think putting Kalk paste or epoxy rolled into ball shape just to smother layered the Hydroids will work?

It ought to ... but I don't know for certain, as I've never done battle with hydroids, myself. Good luck!
