Any idea what these are? They are all over my sump and seem to have sprang up in only a couple of days time.

I was gonna say it looks like a type of pineapple spongue or filter feeding spongue. Harmless from what I know.

I was going to go with sponge as well. Are they hard or soft?

Very soft. I tried to scrape a couple off the glass to get a closer look and they have a texture like thick algae. They don’t maintain shape.
