Kinda hard to tell from the picture, but if you're talking about what's in the middle of the pics it looks like a Chiton.
The white ova looking thing kinda have like chain mail amour

That’s exactly what it looks like but on the paler white side

Well they range in colors, I've personally never had any in my systems but I know that you can buy them and I'm under the impression they're beneficial and reef safe.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
