It is a little smaller than a golf ball and is attached to my substrate

I was going to say snail egg mass, however the size is way to big. I'm with cbrennan4, wrasse mucus cocoon .

Yes I just got a wrasse about a week ago and also a pretty large feather duster that just came back out after about 5 days. This ball had 4 nassurais snails attached to it when I turned lights on
